It's the start of my dance competition is next weekend. We have to very some heavy makeup so it'll be seen but I don't want my face to break out like it always does after the weekend. Do you guys have an suggestions for a good long lasting DRUG store foundation, and some tips for such heavy makeup
Thanks xoxo

Wear a primer! it acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup making you less likely to break out. Revlon Colorstay is a heavy coverage that stays on well but it did make me break out. I personally love L'Oreal true match foundation. if you're prone to breaking out I would suggest a foundation with a light - medium coverage because it will be lighter on your face and let your skin breathe easier. maybe get some samples and test out what you like.

I use light face makeup actually with just ALOT of blush and bronzer! Then of course plenty of eye makeup and a red lip or whatever is required for your program! If you have to wear heavy face makeup, just take it off as soon as possible!!

I'm a dancer and stage makeup is a passion of mine!! I recommend Revlon Colorstay, which is a full coverage foundation that LASTS and that's exactly what you want for when you're on stage, especially while youre dancing because I've experienced performing a concert where my makeup was melting off with my sweat:P I use Revlon Colorstay and if you think its too thick, they have a cream version of it that feels lighter but has the same coverage. To avoid breaking out, use a good primer and make sure that as soon as you can, wash your face, exfoliate, use a face mask if you can, and use a toner and moisturize. I always do this after long days of dance performing and I never break out and I usually have pretty acne prone skin.

When I am in musicals the foundation I wear is Covergirl Clean for Sensitive Skin. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, I think that wearing a foundation meant for that is extremely helpful for stage makeup purposes.
