Ok so I want to change my foundation (used to have powder fx and now I have a liquid one by maybeline and I don't like it). I tried with a one time sample the ultra 24h foundation by Lanc?me and it's a real contender!
But you are now my fav reference and I want to know your opinion :)
so, Yay or nay??

If you are looking for a long wearing foundation Estee Lauder makes a really nice long wearing foundation. I personally always recommend L'Or?al Lumi foundation as I am in love with in (at least during winter when my skin is crazy dry). Only problem is it isn't super long lasting. I can get eight hours out of it when I use a primer and set it, but it's no comparison to some of the long wearing ones. I have heard tons of great things about the Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is the long wear foundation I mentioned above. My only suggestion is to get samples from EL, as I have yet to get the right shade on the first try when going to the counter. It's always way lighter at home.

I just got the ultra 24h foundation last week along with the powder, unfortunately the lady at the counter matched me with the wrong undertone so it looks pink on me. I've only worn it one time which is when I found out it was not my color and I liked the foundation it does feel a bit heavy but it is full coverage so I can understand I just couldn't tell how it covered my spots on my face since it was my wrong color it just wasn't right lol so I can't give you a review until I go and return it. But I did like the feel and texture of it if that helps and for the powder it was ok nothing too special

I second estee lauder, though I only use the EL doublewear light! I find the other foundation too heavy and mask like. So anyway,I have also tried the lancome 24hr foundation.they say it's a great foundation but the alcohol ingredient turned me off,it made my skin dry and patchy! Had to return it.

Yeah I found a lot of that in reviews for this product... what skin type are you? people with mixed or oily skin seems to not have that problem...
awww now I'm confused with what to try! it's expensive to finally not like a product like that... :\

The best advice with high-end foundations...ask for samples so you can get an accurate read on your terms versus deceiving store lighting and SA that aren't well versed on color matching. I don't believe on dropping hard money like that without getting a sample to see how it plays on my skin. Lancome is a great line but I would definitely see about getting a sample that can give you a weeks worth and then compare it with the Estee Lauder Double Wear that the above beauties mentioned. I used EL years ago and had no issues. It didnt cause my grief (oxidizing, breakouts) during its tour of duty. ;)

Yeah I went to get sample and the one from Lancome are wwwaaayyy to dark for me so the lady offered me to remove my makeup and try it on right on the spot! so I have it for the day and I must say that it looks gorgeous!
ok it's just one day but I like it so far. could see the EL because I had to go to another place to get it, but I'll try to go on lunch time tomorrow!
