The main types would be, in my opinion:
pencil (which includes kohl)
Gel
Felt tipped (which is like liquid, but with a felt tip instead of a brush)
Traditional liquid (with a brush)

It looks like an eyeshadow, and you add a sealer kind of thing to it, and it turns into sort of a liquid :)
