I think giving a recommendation by hear say isn't fair to the person you are advising.
I love MAC foundations. I've used about five different ones that they have. I have acne prone skin and MAC foundations don't break me out and they sit nicely on my skin. I am really like the Mineralize Moisture foundation.
Their Studio Fix Fluid is their most popular liquid foundation and it is a great starter.

@Tugba, no not your skin tone, your skin type. is your skin oily, dry, or a combination of the two? :p.

If you have combination skin then face and body or others would work if you have dry or oily it can look very bad on the skin clinging to dry patches and leave a moist finish. Hope this helps

I looooove MAC's face and body. It's sheer coverage yet build able. And it feels so light on the skin.

It has a dewy finish, but I mattify it with Rimmel's stay matte powder. And I have acne prone skin and it doesn't break me out.
