I have to keep my nails really short,but i keep hearing about gel overlays. Can someone explain what it is? Maybe even post a pic of what it looks like, and what it usually costs? Please help me out! :)

It's the acrylic powder/gel applied to your natural nail (no false tips) you can get it done in a glitter acrylic or have it painted with polish. Price runs $16-30 depending on where you go. Sorry I don't have a pic.

gel is not acrylic nor powder. it literally is a gel that is cured under a UV light. instant dry. and more flexible than acrylic. very good. they rub about $40

Just get CND Shellac it's the best... And most gentle on your nails but be sure you go to a CND Shrllac certified salon... Www.cnd.com and find the salon locator put in your info and they will tell you who in your area is doing the process correctly and up to CND standards
