How to get beachy waves?

Hey guys I have petty long layers hair and I really wanna do piecey, messy, beach waves while I'm on cruise for spring break but I don't know how to. Help please!

To get waves I put my hair in 2 braids when my hair is wet and when it is dry I take them out and my hair is wavy...
