I just want to hear everyone's opinions on whether to pop pimples or not. Why do you think it's good or bad?

Lol I know it's bad but I always pop mine, but I'm careful about it so it doesn't spread or turn red/scar afterwards.

Definitely don't pop. I swear I have like a compulsion where I absolutely have to pop them...which is why my face is covered in horrible acne scars :(

I know this is bad but I'm a sucker for popping a pimple when it comes up, I feel like I have to it's like an urge I can't shake off haha. But I'm lucky and none of mine have left scars from doing so

Popping is bad but I can't help myself lol. I suit there thinking to my self that I should just leave them alone... but I can't stop! :-(:-P.

I'm the EXACT same way Shaye, however some of mine have actually scarred a little :c
anyways, I would pop it, lol. you should only do so after a shower tho, which tissue paper wrapped around the fingers you're popping it with. as soon as you pop it, apply a spot treatment, & then leave it alone to heal :p
it's always better to just not pop them tho, if you can, hahah!

I always do it after I get out of the shower but before I tone and moisturise my skin haha, I'm so bad with popping them though, if I can feel it then it isn't gone 🙈 haha!

I don't think you should ever "pop" a pimple because you are literally forcing the pustule to "explode" from under the skin leaving an "explosion" hole left behind to heal up. This explosion hole has uneven edges & will have a problem healing up evenly & risk scarring. Although some do heal better than others. Not to mention that you are spreading the bacteria around to the surrounding skin & healing will take longer now. Now, in saying this, there is a way to hurry up the healing in many ways but one way is to "lance" the pimple. But ONLY is you see the "white head" of pus. There is a tool, it should be sterilized before each use and needs to be done with restraint. After sterilizing both ends, you use the pointy sharp end to poke a hole into the center of the pustule, not too deep. You just want a tiny hole to allow the pus to drain without tearing the skin. Then you use the other side that looks like the eye of a needle and you place it directly over the pimple so its centered within the hole & you press down gently. You can press down about 2 times & you should be able to drain the majority of the pus. Do not go crazy & press too hard & too much because you risk aggravating it. I advise you watch some tutorials on how to lance a pimple safely. FYI: You can also use this method on a blister if you see the fluid through the skin. I put the dime there for scale.

Easier said than done, but don't pop. I recommend tea tree oil (dilute with water to suit the sensitivity of your skin) and blemishes disappear quickly.

Also, if you do lance it, put some neosporin or polysporin on it.
