Who here is a little miss seamstress? I've decided to tackle my wedding dress and make it myself. Not from scratch, but from pieces of dresses and from new pieces.
I just needed to rant because I'm in the pull apart phase and I'm ripping apart serged seams and it's driving me nuts! Who here has made tackled such a big project?

Lol awe hibz! Your so sweet and I remember reading something about people being kinder to Canadians in social class once lol. I thought is was just us being conceited. Haha in most tv programs I find we are portrayed kind of dumb lol (like Canadian bacon, haha love that movie) anyways we are eloping so it'll just me be and him and our two best friends as witnesses :) but I hired a photographer so I'll totally post pics!

Betsy I'm not too worried I made a Victorian gown in high school fashions class and grew up around a sewing machine. And I'm using a different dress but similar style as a pattern. :)

Good luck Raylene, that's awesome! I love sewing and making clothing =) I do hate serged seams though, and I'll usually just trim them clear off if I don't need that space for extra seam allowance =/ what a pain lol
definitely post some progress shots! can't wait to see wedding pics =)
