HTS: black maxi skirt and skater skirt.

I know these are probably the most basic easy to wear items in someone's closet but I feel like nothing I own goes with a blsck maxi skirt and a black skater skirt. I recently just bought my first all black maxi and skater skirt over the weekend but when I got home I thought nothing looked nice. Any help and ideas. I would also like more ideas than a plain crop top. Shirts shoes accessories any thing. Thanks :)

Black skater skirts are easy to mix and match. But with black maxi skirt, wear tops that are lighter in weight and light colors like a chiffon or any flowy top. Ditch heavy jackets. Instead pair it with crocheted or lacey cardigans in light colors. Use colors like pastels which are good for spring or summer. Wear wedges for more height.

Livi, ditch the jacket. As it look granny-ish. If you want a denim jacket, choose a cropped jacket, not pass the waist. Just a recommendation doll. 😉

@Nala the maxi skirt is high waisted just because it is prettt long, or maybe I'm just to short? haha and the skarter skirt is high waisted as well. Thank you all so much for all the help! As soon as the weather gets warmer here (its actually flurrying a bit right now) I will post pictures of the outfits with the skirts!
