Around the middle of the day, my hair gets really static-y and messy. It will get knots it and just kinda starts to look bad. I take great care of my hair, and I straighten it and put hair spray in it every morning. What would you ladies recommend to help solve this?

Don't use hairspray! Get a heat protectant like the ladies said or some silk for the hair :)

Use a heat protectant/straightening serum before you blow dry or flat iron. you can work it into damp hair, especially the tips. don't flat iron your hair everyday, just touch up if you need to. this is still not good for your hair however. try braiding it or wearing it up the days after flat ironing. you don't need hairspray for flat ironed hair unless you're going for a lot of volume. (again, I would opt for a mouse in your damp hair instead of hairspray). if you're hair gets super frizzy throughout the day try using a little bit of argan oil (josie maran's is fabulous) and put palm it onto the frizz. apply lightly or it will look oily
some things you can do to reduce frizz is not hear styling your hair everyday, and when you do blow dry use a diffuser on the end of the blowdryer and aim the blowdryer downward so that the air is not pushing against the direction that your hair grows. also, make sure that you are not washing your hair too often (every three days is about right) if you are, try weening off this habit by washing it every two, then every three. make sure that you are using an appropriate amount of conditioner and shampoo for your hair (ask your stylist). when you get out, dry your hair on a tshirt instead of a towel by pressing the wet hair into the tshirt.
ask your stylist what texture your hair is so that they can recommend products

Try a serum, heat protector or even put some morrocan oil in your hair!
