I like both because it makes my nails last longer. I also bite my nails so it's good to have either for me. I know they are both damaging but my nails already suck from me buying them haha. If you want length go with acrylics but if you wan long lasting polish on your nails go with gel.

I like gel a lot more than acrylic. Gel lasts longer and is pretty. the downside to gel is that it makes your nails thin and damaged. if you pick at gel, your nail comes off with it. if you do gel once it repairs in no time. acrylic is glue on your nails and it hurts if you get your nails caught on anything. so basically it's fake acrylic glued on. I'd say go for gel.
