I just started using a toner I've never used one before it is for sensitive skin but it made me break out! Is this what happens when you first start using a toner and then it gets better?!

Not normally. In my experience, toners simply remove any residue and return your skin's ph balance to normal. It's possible that there's an ingredient in the toner that your skin is reacting to. I suggest you discontinue use immediately, and see if your skin goes back to normal.

Use toner without alcohol for daily use, or it will cause breakout

I also have extremely sensitive skin. When I first started using a toner my face tingled a bit so I would apply less so that my skin could get used to it. A toner is not supposed to make you break out. What toner are you using? Many people use witch hazel as a toner, however some people with sensitive skin find witch hazel a bit too intense for their skin. I highly recommend Simple Skincare's Gentle Toner. It's very cheap and it contains a small amount of witch hazel. I've been using it for a while now and I really like it.

It should be alcohol free or else it irritates your skin. It also depends on your skin type. I'd rather suggest you to choose toner according to your skin type

Make sure it's a formula that is made specifically for sensitive skin! I use a rose water toner because I have super sensitive skin and I use rose water toner... I use different brands but I've found that amazons sells some great ones!

Toners are nice to use and make your skin feel great, but they are not necessary or truly very beneficial for your skin. I've used top of the line name brand toners and saw no difference in my skin whether good or bad. As long as you cleanse your skin thoroughly, use a spot treatment, and moisturize, your skin will be okay. Hope this helps:)
