Acne medication/treatment help.

Hey guys:) I have been suffering with acne since I was 10/11 and I still am now. I have been on antibiotics and a Retin-A (tretinoin) prescribed from the doctor which helped but has stopped working now and my skin is back to being teribble. My skincare routine also used to work but nothing works now. I have a doctors appointment again as they have me something to out on my face externally like a liquid but I can't remeber what it was, I will try and find it but this made me so much worse and broke me out more and my face went red and blotchy so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was anymore options and what they might put me on? Thankyou:)

At drug store I bought a cream which is Avène for sensitive skin and it calmed my skin out I have less pimples and redness it's absolutely amazing.

Hi! I have the same problem. I went to different doctors spend a lot of money on cremes, scrubs even pills. While I was on a pill my skin was greater than ever. Once I quit the pills acne appered again. Now I use Effaclar A. I. from La Roche Posay which is a targeted breakout corrector and a cleanser from the same brand for sensitive skin. The first 2 days your skin will get dry so use a good moisture cream. The first week you ll see that scars are gone and pimples will start minimizing. I hope I helped you and you didn't have problems understanding my english! ;-) Good luck with your treatment. And remember first go see an expert.

When you go see your dermatologist and if your insurance covers it ask if they offer blue led treatments the led light help kill bacteria and also floods your skin with oxygen which kills free radicals its used sometimes in conjunction with ance medication but it only works on certain types of comedones you can read about it on acne.org

I went to a dermatologist all throughout my teens and used tons of prescriptions but nothing worked. The only thing that worked was Accutane. My skin was AWFUL but now I even get compliments on it. I really feel it changed my life and would recommend it to anyone with moderate to severe acne.
