Mis-treatment of factory workers, the fact that a lot of products from China have been loaded with high levels of lead.

Not all of it is bad. There are some resepectful manufactures in China. As consumers we just have to be aware of what we purchase regardless of where it comes from. Reading product reviews is very telling if a product is safe. My beloved Wet n Wild liquid liner is made in China and my eyes are still intact. Sometimes my husband, out of boredom, will take random products of mine and test them at the lab for hidden ingredients. We just need to be aware. :)
