Going out for my friend's birthday this weekend and I want a super glittery eye makeup look. I've only worked with glitter a couple times, and everytime I've made a half-assed makeup look and a huge mess! any tips to avoid looking like I rolled in an arts and crafts bin? any suggestions for cool looks I can try to pull off?

It's have to stay on all night too! I don't want to find chunks of glitter floating in my drink at 1am! :)

You may want to try a glitter liner to make sure that it is mess free. Since its marketed as a liner its going to have a little brush and already have the adhesive mixed in with it. Even though it is technically a liner- I usually just do it all over my eyelid once my other colors are done and it looks great. I really like the Urban Decay Heavy Metal or NYX Liquid Crystal Liner or this.

Definitely make sure you use something to ensure the glitter will stay in place. Do your eye makeup first that way if some falls on your face you're not looking like a disco ball. Also have tape handy. Whenever I use glitter it never fails that some gets on my face. I take a piece of tape & dab it all over my face. I also use the tape to remove the glitter when it's time to remove my makeup.

I used to wear glitter on my lids every other day and I found if you apply some lash glue to your lid, it holds in place really well. Can be a little sticky, so work fast lol once it dries it sets. And it's a little easier to remove when you're done.
