Same I use it once a week. I use a sprinkle sea salt on half a lemon and rub it on my face. Then rinse with cool water. My skin looks amazing afterwards

Hun there were five little girls on the news that where playing in there lime tree and had lime juice all over them and stayed outside playing in the sun the next day they all woke up with second degree burns the mix of citrus acid and the sun can cause something called phytophotodermatitis it will feel like a chemical burn listen to these young ladies it's very bad for your skin.

That's different. They left it on all day in the sun. Very different from applying for a short period of time and washing it off. Plus I only do it at night.

Girls you should really listen! I know that if Traci says something is not good for your skin, I would listen! She is the queen of skin care! And lemon juice I acid, like you wouldn't put on any other acid would you? Also it may not burn or harm your skin right now but think of the long term damage :/

Every week I do a cinnamon and honey facial, and every night I put Vaseline on my lips and gently work it in with a toothbrush.

Shiro I also love the honey/cinnamon mask :) I don't use it very often but I like it when I do!

Nala if you ask any dermatologist should you use lemon on your face the answer will be no I've been in the skincare industry a long time damage you do to your skin now doesn't show up for years and weather you washed it off or not it has penetrated your skin and unless your religious about applying sun block you can get a burn acid from lemon can burn the skin without you ever even stepping into the sun ,so there are better options.

Is there acid in cinnamon??

Nala H.
I've heard it's good to use acidic products on the skin since the skin is already acidic. I know not to leave it on the skin or go out in the sun with it on. Plus I always moisturize. I just rub the lemon on my face and immediately rinse it off.

Well I'm never using cinnamon again!

Traci and Lindsay is 110% correct. Everything looks fine and dandy now but the damage sits dormant for years and will pop up on you when you least expect it. I've been practically living at my dermos office and getting radiation treatment for an unreleated issue and hear all the horror stories and starts off with;"I wish I didn't do this when I was younger" and they go on to tell you their story. If you're using lemon juice on your face I certainly hope you're using sunscreen protection for daytime so you can reduce any photo-damage on your skin.
I just started applying honey on my lips to soothe my lips due an allergic reaction to a lip product. I don't like going too extensive with home remedies for some of the same reasons listed by Traci and Lindsay. Be careful beauties...you only get one chance with your skin.

Avocado works great on dry skin. honey also helps dry out acne. lemon can work as a homemade toner and can lighten your skin/even out your skin tone.

My go to is organic cold pressed coconut oil. I can find it in a jar for about 12.00. sometimes you can find it at Marshall s or tj Maxx for five. I use it everywhere right after shower and bath. I even use it to take off my mascara sometimes.

I've used lemon and it's ok as long as you don't have super sensitive skin. I really like using avocado on my face...and hair... And sugar scrubs are really nice
