Nars makes great liquid foundations, the coverage is pretty sheer and almost all shades have a little bit of a yellow undertone, which will balance out any redness in skin. I also love marc jacobs mousse foundation. its about $10 more than than the nars. (the marc jacobs is 55) its a lot more full coverage than the nars. however, I use the fairest shades in both of these foundations. I've heard good things about the darker shades in the nars but know nothing about the darker ones in the marc jacobs. I have heard great things about imans line of makeup for women with darker skin.

I don't think there is a "best" anything, it really just depends on your skin type, depth, finish, coverage & preference. The foundations I like are NARS sheer glow, Estée Lauder invisible fluid, loreal true match, bare minerals, & I would like the urban decay naked foundation if the color matched me right. That's all I can think of atm. If your wanting to try out some higher end foundations, you can always ask for sample before you buy or even return the product if you decide it's just not working for you. Oh and if ever you do find a foundation you love you can always use the findation.com to help find a similar foundation to the one you love. Hope this helps in your search to find your best match. :)

Hello Hailey,
This is a difficult question to answer, as your not quite specific on what you are seeking in a foundation. Like the beautiful Megan H has said, you need to know what type of skin type you are: oily, combination, dry etc. and what type of coverage you prefer: sheer, medium, medium/buildable, or full coverage prior to investing into another foundation.

nonetheless I will provide you a couple of my favourite foundations. however please keep in mind, that I have extermely oily skin, and I generally purchase a medium/buildable or full coverage foundation.

here is my complete list:
Illamasqua Rich liquid foundation: I find this foundation rather hard to blend, by that I mean it takes a lot longer than blending another typical foundation out. This is generalyl because this formular is extremely thick, however covers everything! I like to use this when I am going to special occasions etc. If you are scared this may be extremely thick you can always change the consistency with moisturiser or primer for an everyday wear. A little of this product seriosuly goes a long long way!

Illamasqua Skin base Foundation: I call this the breathable foundation haha! When I apply this to my skin, it honestly feels like a BB or CC cream! Extremely light weight yet does the job of covering all pigmentation in one application of this foundation. if however, you want that full coverage look, I would suggest perhaps a little bit more product on those areas where you'lld be needing t.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid: This was my very first foundations I've ever tried and really enjoyed the consistency and coverage to this very day. Some girls and boys, have mentioned that this foundaiton has a distinct smell, some people are don't like this fragrance, however, I certainly enjoy it. I recently purchased another bottle and applied it for the first time in a very long time, and really miss that scent! As for the coverage I would say it's full coverage. It completely covers all my pigmentation to the point where I don't need to apply any extra foundation for that little bit of extra coverage. Another great thing about this foundation is that, as you are probably aware, MAC has a huge array of colours for cool, warm and neautral skin tones, so they would definitely be able to find the perfect colour for you skin tone.

These are currently my three favourite foundations that I would highly reccomend to anybody with oily skin and wanting medium/buildable or full coverage. I hope this has helped you hailey in purchasing the perfect foundation for you!
Good luck!

It honestly depends on your skin type because what works for someone with an opposite skin type may not work for your skin type :) it also depends on what type of coverage you want and if you want a light or a heavy foundation :)
Here's what I recommend

If you have dry skin:
•Cover girl whipped foundation
• maybelline dream fresh bb cream

If you have oily skin:
•Estée Lauder double matte foundation
• Bobbi brown foundation ( I can't remember the name sorry)
•tarte bb cream

if you have combination skin:
•sephora foundation
• maybelline fit me foundation
Hope I helped!!

Agreed with what the others say! I have normal/dry skin so the best foundations for me personally have been Diorskin Airflash, L'Oreal True Match, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr Foundation, Nars Sheer Glow, & Revlon Colorstay Original.
