How long does manic panic? I'm going to put color filler in my hair. cuz of the bleach. but I can figure out how long it will last. and is there a way to keep the color longer.

Buy shampoo and conditione for coloured hair or if you want to touch your hair up easily if it fades buy a spray bottle, put a couple of drops in the bottle and fill it with water, shake it up and use it whenever you feel like your hair is fading. Its a good way to go through less dye :)

If you mix manic panic with conditioner the colour does go lighter but washes out even more quickly.

It depends on the color, and the state of your hair. My hair holds manic panic for months, it took my turquoise almost 6 months to fade. And with red, it lasted 2 years with only 3-4 dying sessions. Where as some people it fades quick. It also depends how long you leave it on the hair. If you leave it for 15 minutes it'll fade quicker than if you put a plastic cap on it and slept with overnight.

Hrm mine lasted about two weeks normally for the Rose pink or something like that. I washed in cold always and only like every 3 days or so. Course when I say it held for two weeks that's like really vibrant, cause my hair stayed light pink for months lol.

I use Rock and Roll Red and Vampire Red, I have to redye every month, mostly because my roots are bad lol. It does fade a little with every wash but typically someone with bright hair wouldn't be washing their hair all the time anyway. I wash my hair two times a week in cold water with a sulfate free shampoo and my hair is barely faded by the end of the month. :3 My friend always congratulates me because she's never seen my hair faded lmfaooo. I do think other brands last longer though! I've just been using Manic Panic for a while and it's working fine so I'm too lazy to switch it up.

It really depends on the porosity of your hair. Like my hair is really porous and holds color really well. Where as some peoples hair isn't at all porous and the color doesn't hold. It's different on everybody. There is no one answer for this, everybody will have different experiences. Washing in cold water less frequently and using nonalcoholic and non oily products will help keep the color. also using a color saving sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. :)

On about the third wash I had to apply a little bit more bit I also didn't leave it in long to dye it. I recommend putting it tin your hair and sleeping with it in with a shower cap since manic panic is a special chemical free hair dye. It won't ruin your hair. You can keep it in as long as you want.

Grace is right About using sulfate free shampoo, that helps keep the color in longer.If you go to the manic panic site they give helpful tips to help your color last.

Just like these ladies said...cold water and sulfate free shampoo is key. also, just scrub your roots...the ends don't need a vigorous washing like your scalp does. I always mix a little dye into my conditioner. actually...I do about half dye/half conditioner and use that in place of my normal conditioner about once every 2 weeks (or when ever my hair feels a bit faded.) heat protection is a must too. heat styling tools can fade color too.

My hair holds black,blonde and purple really well. red it lasts s few washes. then its gone. ill have to try the shower cap.
