What are some good, effective ways to get rid of dark circles? Ex. Creams, home remedies, etc. (no makeup please)

I heard holding frozen spoons under your eyes help.

I second the green teabags, I've heard the spoon method can cause broken capillaries.

Nothing is going to make them completely disappear. Its mainly caused by genetics. Now I was sick for about two years and on a lot of different medications that made them worse, when I finally started to get better (now...) they don't look like that anymore. Diet and allergies can make them worse but most likely causes eye puffiness instead of darkness. The best creams that I have tried are Benefit's and Garnier has a roller ball one, but like I said, it mainly just helps puffiness. Makeup is really the only thing though that is going to help cover them up. I wouldn't do the broken spoon trick because it can cause broken capillaries but I have used an eye mask that you put in the fridge (not too cold though) and that helps a little but again, mainly with just puffiness. I have heard the tea bag trick but I haven't tried it...

One more thing, make sure you are completely taking off all of your eye makeup if you wear it. If its not always completely coming off then its just building up and making you look like dark circles when its actually just gross eye makeup that has sunk into pores.

Ok. I would really like to find a cream that works.

This is targeted for puffiness and darkness. Like I mentioned twice already, it is going to be difficult to find a cream that is for dark circles because it doesn't just go away, its genetics. Also, maybe try Garnier or Benefits like I said earlier... The only other way you aren't going to notice them is by using makeup (a correcting color and concealer).

I agree with what Lisa says. Since they are part genetic there is no miracle cream or remedy that will fix things. The tea bag trick that everyone else has mentioned might help with some puffiness along with the cream that Lisa mentioned. Just be aware that it'll be very very hard to actually rid yourself of them and don't get discouraged that they don't go away. The best thing is going to be to try and use some of these creams and remedies and use an undereye concealer. In all honesty, that's your best bet... I know that probably not what you want to hear but... Thats how it might have to be especially since genetics have a huge role
