I have very thick hair and I to got bored of my long hair and had it cut short... What a mistake that was! Because having thick hair short hairstyles don't suit me which I learned within 1 second at looking at my hair... Also a week later I did work experience in a hair salon and one of the ladies said to me she should of told you that you wouldn't of been able to pull it off... That was years ago and I have never allowed anyone to cut my hair since apart from myself.

But then I do see people with thick hair that have short hair and they manage to pull it off... It comes down to your face shape, hair colour aswell... When I had mine cut it was red then I dyed it to a purple which actually made it look slightly better. I would ask your hair dresser if it would suit you and/or ask other hair dressers at different salons.

My hair is naturally curly and thick, and I have mine cut at the shoulder :) let the stylist know you have wavy textured hair and she can cut layers to make sure you don't get that stacked "pyramid" effect. I use morrocan oil, and curl sculpting cream to keep from getting frizzy and poofy.

Lately, I've been getting really tired of my long hair and I've been wanting to cut it a little longer than shoulder length. It's naturally curly and thick and that's the only thing in worried about whenever it comes to cutting it. I just don't want it to turn into a huge poof ball. What should I do?
