I've never been able to get the cat eye look down pat. I can't seem to get the right feel when using a liquid liner and it always ends up too thick, uneven, or simply bad. What do you suggest is the best product for a winged eye: pencil, liquid, or gel? And how can I learn how to do the wing?

If your using gel get a really thin angled brush and I'm sure you will do great.

Lots of practice with an angled brush and gel/cream eyeliner, I have one I love from urban decay, you can also practice with an angled brush and eyeshadow with can be a bit more forgiving while you're still trying to get the hang of it.
