Nope. Mine is healed, and has been since about two weeks after I pierced it. If I take my earring out, the hole won't close.

They heal. I got mine when I was 10 and it got infected cuz I didnt clean it like I was supposed to. It healed a couple months later.

Yep I had the same experience as Jacqlyn. Got it done at Claire's, used a gun, shattered my cartilage, had to take it out because it wouldn't heal and hurt too much. Now every once in awhile where it was pierced I get some intense pain. If pierced properly, it will heal though :)

That's not true. My first cartilage has healed. I got two more after and one is healed, the other one is still in process.
