Makeup kit from scratch.

Hi everyone,
I am curently in the beggining stage of becoming a makeup artist (just started a class), and I need a little help in assembling a kit. I read the series by James Vinsent and it helped, but I need a list of bare minimums for the beggining so I won't go broke before I even start working. Can you help me with must have basics by M.A.C. and Inglot. Particulary eyeshadows.
I plan on doing mostly bridal and prom jobs to start.

Well I love all the mac lipsticks. some good shadow shades from mac is Brown script,Carbon,Sadle,Rice paper ,Cork ,dark brew ,those are all neutral colors also Mac's paint pot in painterly is a nice base and I love there blush also I don't really like their foundation thou.

Thank you both for a quick reply.
Traci, why don't you like their foundation, and witch one.
Alexandria I tried that, but for some reason my country isn't on their list yet (even thou we have a store in my city, it opened a couple months ago, so I can't see any helpful details.
Mostly I need a starting number of shades, because I wouldn't like to find myself in a situation where a client asks for a color I don't have, but I also don't want to buy to many colors witch I won't use.
I know it takes time to get the hang of things, but I need the material to practice at home, and I don't want to buy makeup just for practice, and then never use it on a client.

Congrats on your journey. My advice would be to not start out with high end products you'll run outta money very quickly. I've start with products from BH Cosmetics, Sedona Lace, and Coastal Scents. These companies have inexpensive, quality products including brushes/tools. They have sales quite often and reasonable shipping fees. You can slowly incorporate higher end items like MAC, INGLOT, etc.as your skills grow. Beautylish often has great deals on those lines! I agree with Alexandria, get those pro discounts they will come in handy plus save you ton of money, which you won't make starting out. Best Wishes!

Thank you Angelia,
My problem is that I live in Europe (Serbia to be exact), and those brands aren't available here, Beautylish shop (sadly) also isn't an option. So you see my problem, there is no middle ground, it's bad makeup that doesn't stay on very long or the expensive one that does,:-\
So I'm in trouble every way you look if I don't start right. I gues it will be a gamble either way. Fingers crossed.
