It stands for Beauty balm. its light to medium coverage usually depending on which one you get and is lighter than a foundation. you can use it for just a bit of coverage if you don't like the full coverage look.

Its like a moisturizer with a bit of makeup.You can use it to even out your skin tone.Most have sheer or sheer-medium coverage.You can try from Ponds,Garnier,Loreal or Bobbi brown depending on your skin type.

I would honestly recommend trying an asian bb cream as the formulation is very different to western ones (plus korea basically brought bb creams to the cosmetic market). western bb creams have more of a "tinted moisturiser" consistency and coverage, while asian bb creams are fuller coverage and have a thicker consistency. a good brand to start with that is very popular is the skin79 bb creams - find one that suits your skin type and give it a try! you can find lots of asian bb creams on ebay - just make sure you go through a reputable seller.

I personally love the Nars Tinted Moisturizer. It doesn't have the best coverage but it does have amazing SPF and it is light!
