Hey Beauties!
I'm reaching the stage where I need a new foundation :)
Typically I use drugstore products, and they work out pretty fine for my skin, albeit a few.
I'd like to know your ladies opinions on the Nars Sheer Glow foundation :)
My skin type is combination/oily in my T-zone, cheeks, and forehead.
If you have any drugstore dupes for this product as well or any other recommendations I'd love to hear it :)!! Thanks!

Is there any reason why you don't like either of the Nars foundation?

Me too, I'm not a big fan of the sheer glow. Mostly because it is for people with dry skin.
But I do enjoy their tinted moisturizer! It has spf and if you set it with a powder, it's gorgeous

I use it and I personally like it. I have combo skin (more oily than dry) and this works just fine. It's one line that I find caters to the yellow and deeper undertones for AA skin. I find that it's a very natural looking foundation when applied correctly and set with a finishing powder. I'm oily in the same places you are! Grab a sample from Sephora. It's worth a shot!

If I set it with rimmels stay matte powder do you think it would work well? I've heard nothing but good about it and I've actually recently purchased the powder and have nothing but good things to say about it :)

I don't see why not! Give it a go. I think it will be fine. Sometimes I don't even set this foundation with a powder. A little goes a long way w this too.

I agree with Tonita it also works well with Maybelline wonder powder :)

Thanks Tonita and Alma! :)
And thanks Jacqueline! I usually dust powder light over my face to set foundations. I was never one for pressed powders being it makes my face look cakey and hilights my dry spots.

I have used sheer glow for just under a year, and I really like it. I will recommend purchasing a pump to use with it, as the jar without one is a mess. I like Kevyn's liquid foundation better in terms of coverage, but the heavy fragrance is a problem. I think it's worth trying, I set mine with Hourglass Ethereal light, which doesn't compromise the finish but sets it nicely.

Kevyn's? I've never heard of that brand but I'm willing to check it out! :) do you know where they sell it? Could I find a bottle in Sephora?

If you don't want much coverage, I recommend UD Naked Skin foundation. :) Gives a nice glow without making you look oily (I have oily skin btw). If you have any dry patches though, then disregard my suggestion bc it clings to dry skin like no other lol.

Thanks renay! I've been meaning to give UD naked a try since ived used Revlons Naked before and I've heard the formulas are super similar.
Erica! Thanks! I'll have to be careful it isn't resistant to transfer cause I hug a lot of people and I usually have pull over jackets and stuff so I'd hate for like half my face to come off onto a piece of clothingg or onto someones shoulder lol that'd be embarrassing.

Jacqueline, I have a synthetic fragrance allergy, so I tend to pick up on it more than others I think. I do still like both.
Dorothea, I think setting powder will help prevent transferring, I didn't notice very much of that at all!

I wanted to love the Naked Skin foundation BUT their range for WOC was 💩💩💩💩. I couldn't get a match to save my life even with mixing foundations. Should they broaden their shade selection, I'll definitely try it again. From what I hear, Revlon Naked is comparable to the UD too.

Jacqueline, the liquid airbrush isn't as bad as the sensual skin concealer, but I try not to wear them back to back or a couple days in a row. It's mostly synthetic fragrances, but most products just give me a headache. I have been struggling with contact dermatitis around my lips since March and the scents irritate that more than anything. Nars Sheer Glow and OCC have proven to be okay so far, so I at least have something!  :)

I have combo/oily skin and I adore the Sheer Glow foundation! I set it with my MAC mineralized skin finish in Medium and generally don't need to touch it up unless it's a super hot day. I know it's meant for dry skin but it doesn't break me out or get super oily for the most part. I love the coverage and finish :)

Thanks Lorena thats really helpful considering I'd be using the foundation more in the fall/winter since summer is almost over :)
