Hey Guys.
So I'm 16 years old and I know that this age is prime time for getting massive breakouts and just generally having acne... but the thing is, my skin had always been relatively clear. I first started getting acne in the 8th grade, with the occasional pimple on my cheeks, but mostly just small little white heads and a few red ones on my forehead. The summer after 8th grade, my skin became a disaster. I started using Epiduo and it did wonders for my skin, and luckily for my first year in highschool my skin was completely clear with the occasional small breakout. Two years later, I tried to refill my Epiduo prescription, but apparently it costs close to 400 dollars and I'm unwilling to spend that much money on a small tube of acne medication... But now my forehead along with the entirety of my face is a disaster. When I say I've tried everything, I mean I've tried everything. Tea tree oil, salicylic acid, 10% benzoyl peroxide. I can't get it to clear up and it honestly really gets me down. My acne is my biggest insecurity and I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm going to try to get a different prescription from my doctor, but in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions or advice? At this point I just don't know what to do anymore. Thanks you guys, you're all awesome! :)

Ask your doctor or dermatologist about a pill called Oracea. If you end up using it, you're more prone to being sunburnt for the first few months (if you lay in the sun and tan), but other than that it helped clear my skin up. I also use a cream called Ziana which is a cream I also use at night, and it helps a lot too. And for cleanser, I use Cetaphil which is a gentler cleanser since I use the cream also. I hoped this helped out!
