I've been really considering getting my industrial pierced, but for those who have gotten it done? Is it worth it? How bad does it hurt? (personal opinion, I know everyone has different pain tolerances).

Exactly, I hear it really hurts, but it's not unbearable and excruciating so I'm leaning towards yess ha!

Well I Have Mine and Honestly Getting it Done Doesn't Hurt That Much , Just After Getting it Cleaning it 3 Times a Day with it being sore. is a little bothersome.

My tip is to not get it on the side you sleep on or the side you usually hold your phone to.

I got mine done in April. It really doesn't hurt as bad as it seems. The cleaning is kinda a lite problem while having to move the bar. Not bad though. You just have to make sure you keep it clean.

I got it and I'm not going to lie it's the most painful piercing I've had. Make sure you eat first, take a paracetamol afterwards and don't play with it. But other than that go for it girl!

Get it done with a needle and you will be fine. It didnt hurt for me to be honest! What hurt was when I would accidentally sleep on the side with the piercing while it was healing. Ouch!

Thank you ladies, that is definitely helpful in my decision making! 😘

I have mine and it took forever to heal or maybe I should say for the cartilage to stop being sensitive to touch or movement. I'm talking years and yes I cleaned it and did everything right. Oh about the jewerly that you see online that's cute some of it might not fit in your ear. Well they won't fit mine because the charms whatever you call it won't allow the bar to slide down far enough for the top of the bar to go into the top hole (piercing). These are the barbells I'm talking about. If the charm in the middle doesn't move and is fixed there's a chance it's not going to fit in your ear. (Every ear and barbell is different though.)

Hi! I haven't had my industrial done but I have a friend who has. It does hurt, but it mostly depends on the person. If you've had a piercing (cartilage) done before I would say go for it because you know what the pain can be like. If not, maybe try starting with a different piercing. Make sure to go to a good quality piercer who uses a needle/and sterilizes properly. Also make sure to get internally threaded jewelry as it is better for your ear (less problems). Make sure it is quality! Also, be forewarned that an industrial piercing carries some of the most risk of keloids (my friend had to actually take out her industrial because it got so bad). If you've never had a piercing like this before make sure to carefully go over instructions for cleaning and contact your piercer first thing if anything arises. Do a lot of research before you decide! Google is your best friend. Hope this helps and good luck with the piercing! :)

I watched a video of a lady who got one and her ear swollen up and she ended up in the emergency room. Luckly it didn't spread to her brain because they said if it did she would have died. Just be careful and make sure your ear is clean!

My sister has hers done, I went in the room with her when she got it. She said it wasn't extremely painful but you know, it's a piercing!

I got mine done about 7 years ago. It was very painful and took a year to heal. But I absolutely love it and would do it again! If you have a tolerance for pain, go for it!

I know I'm late but I got mine 3 months ago and I love it. I didn't really follow the piercers instructions but it's healing perfectly. It didn't hurt until I touched it but I have a high pain tolerance.
