Always buy quality jewelry, a little more expensive but doesn't cause trouble like Claire's jewelry would. And it looks reaaaally good btw, wanna get mine pierced soon.

Thanks guys. Manal it hurts pretty bad I thought. Little worse than a regular lobe or cartilage piercing. The worst part I thought was the popping sound it made.

Manal said exactly what I said on the nose piercing thread... lol... It takes about 8-12 weeks to heal completely. Body art forums has good quality piercing jewelry (:

Yes I love Body Art Forms for body jewelry! Unique, good quality and for a good price! I wanted to get my tragus done but I'm not so sure now. I'm thinking about a snug or a foward helix now.

Hey, I've had my tragus piercing for a little over a year! It takes quite a while for the piercing to heal (approx. 6 months depending on each person) so I wouldn't take it out before then. If you really want to change it I would definitely. go back to your piercer to have them do it! And as everyone else said, make sure you get quality jewelry! Also make sure to clean it properly as it will help it heal :) when looking for jewelry make sure to get internally threaded jewelry because it's much better for your piercing. If you don't know the difference between internally vs. externally threaded jewelry, google it and you'll get a good description. Once you get quality internally threaded piercings, you can change them out any time no matter where you are in the healing process, because you just untwist the top and put the new jewel in, and keep the bar in place (any 16g internally threaded gem should work with any 16g internally threaded bar, so once you get the bar you can get a multitude of tops that for the bar to switch out!). Websites I like are: bodyjewelryfactory.com, bodyartforms.com, anatometal.com, and diablobodyjewlery.com if you decide to go that route you can order the jewelry and take it to your piercer to change and then you can hangs the tips whenever you want. If you already have this type of jewelry then you can just order some tops and change them yourself (if you don't know call your piercer to ask). If you don't want this type of jewelry you can order whatever you want (the websites I provided also have externally threaded jewelry) and go to your piercer to change the jewelry. Otherwise I would wait to change the piercing until at least 4-5 months have passed, if not longer. Sorry this was so long, just trying to be helpful! Hope this helps, and congrats on the new piercing!

And here is a pic of my tragus (with a green/blue opal stud). Sorry for the terrible quality and freshly showered face, apparently I accidentally deleted my good pic!
