How do you do a sock bun?

If you don't have a hair doughut, then you just take a tube sock (preferably a dark one if your hair is dark) and cut the toes off. Then you just roll the sock over and over until you have a donut shaped object.

if you use a sock you dont have to roll it intoa doughnut first. thats what you do to make the bun. use a big ski or wool sock if you can it creates a big full bun

Pull your hair into a pony tail on the top of your head cut a sock and run the pony tail through it and wrap your hair around and under it. Hairspray and pin it.(:

If you have long hair: make a ponytail where you want the center of the bun take the sock ( everyone just said how to make it lol) and put it around the base of the ponytail and the sock down to the ends of your hair, wrap the ends that stick out and begin rolling the sick along with your hair till you reach the base of the ponytail, if you have thicker, heavier hair like me then secure with Bobby pins. For short hair: make a ponytail again wherever you want the enter of the bun to be and put the sick onto the base then fan all of your hair around it and put a hair Tue over it to make the Shape, tick any extra hair under and pin hope this helps!!
