Help! My nails are splitting!

After about 6 years of acrylic and gel overlays I decided to stop about a year ago. My nails aren't nearly as brittle as they once were but they split on the sides right across the whole nail! I take vitamins and eat my veggies but no results! Any suggestions?!

Try put garlic on them for strength.

Do you use any cuticle oil? you can also use olive oil. A drop on each nail and rub it in. Try 3 times a day or morning and night. I use a range called Tip Top (SA). Their polishes don't have chemicles.
