I try and blend it, but I can only put it on my cheek bones, and no where on the apples because it starts to look like eyeshadow on my cheeks.
I know this sounds weird, but does anyone know what could be wrong?

Sounds like your bronzer is too dark for you; which one are you using?

I just started I suing bronzer. I'm using the elf warm toned brand. In all honestly I don't know the difference between warm and cool toned... But the cool looked darker. So I picked the warm

Fair enough. Well so it's sounding like you picked either a bronzer that's too dark or one that's just not a very good bronzer.
If you want to keep using this bronzer, try tapping off your brush before you apply, and using the lightest hand possible and see if that helps at all.

Alright, I'll try it out. Thanks Hannah! Thought I'd get a cheap one to see if I even liked bronzer(x

Ahh, okay :) also, if possible, concentrate your brush on the left side of the palette when you're picking up product, that should help as well

Try applying some on your wrist as well so it won't be so harsh when you do apply it. You can also apply a little bit of foundation or whatever face product you are using afterwards to tone it down.

I agree with Clarissa that bronzer seems almost like a highlight. I use a couple shades darker face powder as a bronzer.

When I was reading this I was thinking to myself "oh god I hate when that happens. It happens when I use my elf bronzer" AND THEN I SAW THE PICTURE AND I WAS LIKE NO WAY haha... Yeah so I have the same bronzer! And the same thing happens to me, I love elf but just not their bronzers.
So maybe try a nicer one? You could also try a matte one? (:
