There is clear coat nail polish that you can buy that really help. Also biotin works well.

I like to put like a nail strengthener on my nails as a base coat before I paint them!

Make sure you get your vitamins
It's helps them grown nicely and they won't break fast :)

I always keep any sort of clear coat on my nails...usually a hardening or strengthening one from Sally Hansen. When they are glossy with the clear coat it seems that you are less likely to pick or bite at them. plus they are strengthened. I never go without a clear coat...ever! lol.
