Clear braces, a lot less noticeable if you care about that, traditional braces just pick whatever color you like best(: allllll depends on preference.

Between invialine and the wires I would go for the wires. They work faster and not as expensive. Also invisaline does not work if you have major things you have to fix on your teeth. It's not something I would recommend. Just do the Normal wire braces.

Silver is what I always get - it's not as noticeable on the already silver brackets. I've heard that clear bands are easily stained.

Don't get white! It'll make your teeth look yellow.
Green, orange and yellow looks like you have food stuck in your mouth.
Red sort of looks like blood...?
With that, you're left with blue, pink, purple and black.

I like to get blue, but it depends on some types of teeth that colors like white or red looks good on. My friend got red and they were very cute, when I got red the color was so close to my gums lit looked like I was bleeding. Same thing with yellow except not bleeding. I just like some the really colorful ones.

I always had silver ones because I think coloured ones can look a little like you have food stuck in your teeth, or just plain silly.

Wire braces. And for the bands, go for gray to blend in with the wires, or black, blue, pink, or purple.

Clear ones can get stained easily, so I would just get regular ones. When I ha braces I always got light blue or lavender because its harder to see. I would sometimes get purple as well.

Sometimes you don't have a choice on what kind you get. But if you do get a choice, go with wires :D don't get light shades, they make your teeth look white. Get bold shades :D like Pinks, Oranges, Blues, Purples, etc.
