Elf has really good quality of brushes for starters. Experiment:)I prefer bb creams over foundation so you can experiment what you like:) mascara and eyeliner are a must maybelline has reallygood mascara and eyeliner I'd would go with loreal:) and for lips I'd say one mac lipstick:) for an everyday.

I would suggest investing in some nice face makeup and experimenting with eyes and lips. For face go with Clinique foundation or bb cream, NARS for concealer, for lips Maybelline or Revlon lip butters, Maybelline mascara, and maybe try too Faced natural eye palette. I would also suggest Milani baked blushes and NYC bronzer

Invest in some really nice brushes ,( google or lookup all the different kinds of face and eye brushes you'll need) because If you have horrible brushes the makeup just won't show up as well or vivid. And ELF is a great starter brand because it is very inexpensive , and most of their makeup is pretty good. If your on a comp or have internet on your phone look up "basics to makeup " or something with those keywords. There's a crap ton to learn but welcome and good luck!😁
