I feel like my make up routine doesn't work at all, by the end of the day I look shiny, patchy, spots showing, make up flakes under the eyes etc! I want a whole revamp of my make up routine and I need your help and tips please.
I'm going to get Estée Lauder double wear I think, that's as far as I've got! Need ideas for best brands to get and beauty tips to get great all day coverage and super contouring! And something to do with my dull eyes.
Thanks x

Shiny : always, always set your makeup with powder! I prefer translucent powder. Gives a soft look to the skin and absorbs oil, win win. Also, blotting papers are great for when you don't have time to touch up.
Patchy : are you using a primer? these help immensely with making sure your foundation doesn't break up throughout the day
Spot showing : set your concealer.
Makeup flakes under the eyes : moisturize the under eye area, VERY important. Use a primer.

Make sure you like the foundation before you buy it. Ask for a sample and use it for a few days before you buy it because it's expensive. You can contour with a taupe eyeshadow or blush (nyx makes a taupe blush). For eyes you can try pops of color, like bright green, orange or purple!
&make sure you are exfoliating, that really helps with flaky bits and patches.

And I totally agree with everything Renay said too! Primers will help so much!

Also make your skincare is on point before blamin the makeup! I know I'd sometimes blame a foundation for showing dry patches, but that was really because I didn't exfoliate/moisturize well enough
