I have really light brown hair and wanted to dye my hair dark brown with purple streaks without having to bleach it after I dye it dark brown. What is the easiest way I can do this??

Do you have you dye? If so what kind is it?

I would just do the purple streaks first, and wrap them with foil paper, then dye the rest brown:) but I don't know if it'll work,I'd take the risk hehe.

I used splat on my hair and you can leave that dye in as long as you want, it comes with bleach but you don't have to use it, I haven't and it turns out okay looking but if you really want a vibrant purple you have to bleach it.

I just want to put this purple dye I got in streaks. I don't know if I should dye my hair brown first or after?

I would dye it after so you can skip the bleach.

Dye the purple after?? Then how should I protect the strands from the brown hair dye so they don't get too dark??

If I were you I would bite bullet with bleach. Purple isn't the easiest color to achieve especially if you are putting it over brown. If you look at my profile pic I have red and black hair..and had my whole head purple before that. I had to bleach before I did the red and purple. But if you don't want to then I would do what Brenda said about foiling the pieces you want to do then add the dark brown. Good luck babes, hope it works out for ya💜

Bleach isn't as bad as you think it is IF it's used properly.

If you don't bleach it, it likely will not be a vibrant purple and will just give a tint. What dye are you using?

I'd suggest clipping the hair you want to be purple out of the way, foil it and dye your hair dark brown and then doing the purple.

I don't need to bleach my hair where I want the streaks it is already light as I want it.
