I use a small, flat tipped brush that was a spare from a gift set. It's unnumbered, but any small/short brush will work. Good luck!

I use one like this over the traditional super thin lip brush and pat the color on.

Most generic sets will have something close - so long as you have a nice flat surface to pat down and it's not to wide to lose control around the edges, you'll look gorgeous :)

I would start out with a nude lip and build up to more pigmented colors but I would suggest a brand like revlon for the moisture affect

Baby Lips from Maybelline has a nice one called Pink Punch that is pretty pigmented on its own and looks great layered over Revlon's Pink Pout or Sky Pink matte lipstick. I like Sweet Tart and Strawberry Shortcake lip butters from Revlon. But what you really might like is Revlon's Matte lipstick line. Sky Pink and Pink Pout are both gorgeous, light creamy pinks. They feel light on the lips and are easy to apply without making a mess. Take it from me- I used to avoid lippies too, and the pinks and nudes of lipsticks are helping me get over it.
