try Revlon butter lipsticks. they're very moisturizing and a bit on the sheer side. From there you can try more pigmented lip sticks

I looked at the OCC lip tars and didnt like them much, plus i heard they dry out your lips pretty bad. I'll take a look at buxom too though.

You should try Cherish lipstick by Mac. It's more of a neutral color and looks really pretty.

Baby lips works too and they have pastels (like the pink you showed) or edgy colors like orange

Baby lips seems more of a lip balm than a lipstick. :/ I will still check it out though!

Try a sheer pink... Ease into lip color... It takes a little getting used to for some people

The "looks funny" comment is probably personal. Lipstick can be a dramatic look that feels funny (I was the same). Add a coat of self-confidence and I bet you'll be surprised at the difference ;)

Your welcome Allison! Any massive change is bound to being about funny feelings but the balm/tinted tips are spot on and will help you transition with style. When you are ready for full out color, apply and walk away. Come back in 20 and rethink it before taking it off. Once you take out that is that me in the mirror factor, you'll look and feel awesome :)

I would stay away from colors that are considered "pale", even that one you posted. Pale colors are even harder to pull off than dork, bold colors. Go with a neutral pink or a mauve first. It'll look natural but very pretty

Okay i can also try that. Im open to any suggestions really. :)

I also found applying with a brush, not direct, also gives a lot more control over how much product is applied. I tried like crime in coquette recently and put it straight on. Hated it! Tried layering with a brush and now love it! It's also a great matte color Z M.
