False lashes make my eyes look small &weird!?!

I have never gone out in public with false lashes cause everytime I am experimenting the lashes never look right.

What do you suggest someone with small eyes do? Like what kind of lashes? I'm not looking for anything dramatic though :)

You should try just adding a few clusters to the outer corner to elongate! Or in the centre of the eye for a more doe eyed look, whenever I do lash extensions on a client with smaller eyes less is more! Try out some clusters and I'm sure you'll like it 100x better

Okay I think I'll try to work on that tonight.

Thanks:)

Squeeze the glue onto a lid or something and dip the tip in, there's only a small amount of glue so you don't have to wait for it to get tacky, it's all in how you angle the tweezers, you'll find a way that works best for you!

Thanks Brittany:)!

It always helps to trim the false lashes to fit your eye..it always helps me when I trim the length of the band to fit my eyes and it makes it look more natural! Also, I love the individual flares by Ardell, you can't feel them on the eye at all and they look so natural!

Try the natural, thinner lashes. Something with this kind of shape, length and thickness should work. These would also be easier to trim down

Okay try experimenting with different types/styles of lashes, my favorite are Ardell's (I think I use the wispies but I also like the curve vintage ones too) and my favorite glue is Duo (I like the one with a brush). No matter what size anyones eyes are I personally believe they should be trimmed because everyone is different. I have small eyes so this is a must, I even will trim the length along with the width. Then, bend the lashes in a circular length (like you are wrapping them around a pencil, if that makes sense) this helps makes them fit your eyes better without having them stick up at the ends. Let the glue get tacky which means to not put them on as soon as you put the glue on, wait a couple of seconds (I also put more glue on the ends in the falsies so they don't look like they are sticking up on the ends. I like using tweezers and a bobby pin to help me apply them but I mostly use my fingers, they makes tools but I have never tried them. Once the lashes are on I curl them with my real ones and do one quick sweep of mascara (I don't put mascara on my real lashes until the fake ones are on) so they blend together with my real ones and don't look clumpy. One more thing, I apply eyeliner first then the lashes and touch up liner again so you can't see the lash band.

Here is what I meant about wrapping the eyelashes around something so the fit better to eye.
