Here is an explanation for a smokey eye, and I hope it will help you to see the difference between yours and how it should look.

I Agree with other girls. It's not a smokey eye, smokey eye is fading from dark to light.. Otherwise it is nice for every day wear :)

I find smokey eye pretty when you use different shades of brown because black is too harsh... you can mix a hint of black with a brown to carve out the depth in your eye but black smokey eye is for more dramatic... brown mixed with a hint of black is inbetween dramatic and neutral... and brown keeps it neutral and warm

Not too much at all. you are a beauty!

I don't think it's a gradient eye at all, but maybe it's too light for me to tell

I really love this look, especially for everyday! Plus it would always be easy to darken it on the outer corner and your crease for a nighttime look. Which shadows did you use for this?

As far as what I know I think it is a smokey eye, but I might be wrong! Either way, I love it for an every day look! Your eye color is also beautiful, by the way!(:

So this is called a gradient eye. :)

A smoky eye is gradual color with the dark color starting from the lash line and moving up to the crease. You created a gradient eye, which is gradual color with the lightest color in the inner corner and the darker into the outer corner

It's just lighter than a typical smokey eye. It's very very pretty and you blended it so well!! I like the softness of it :)

Thank you! & I thought it was? isn't a smoky eye gradual dark to light? I added liner as well. Don't know if that makes a difference lol.

It's really light.. I thought smokey eyes were darker? But I don't know a lot about smokey eyes so I could be wrong. I think it looks nice though.
