I bought some extensions from sally's and at the moment I had black hair so I bought jet black extensions. I now have medium brown hair,is there any way to get my extensions to this color without much harm? please help :(

It definitely depends on whether they are human hair or not. If they are not real hair you can't change the colour. If they are real hair you need to know whether they have been dyed black or if they are virgin hair. If they are virgin hair you could possibly get away with just putting a brown dye with a 30 or 40 volume develper on them. If they were dyed black by the company to give a uniform colour then you would definitely need to bleach them to a red/orange stage first then use the brown dye with a 10 or 20 volume developer.

Most hair extensions have some sort of sealant over them. If they are 100% human hair, then yes, you can use a low volume bleach to bump it up a few levels. it might be hard to get them to lift because of the sealant. you may need to bleach twice. I wouldn't use actual color. most extensions are not virgin hair and color may not take evenly. I would try a 10vol bleach first. if that doesn't do anything them go to 20, but nothing higher.
