I've been trying to create loose waves on my hair but whenever I try to do it the curls come out tight. I use the Remington wand, it's 1in to 1/2in. What are things I can do to get loose curls? Thanks guys :)

In the shower, I'd leave in just a little bit of conditioner, and when you get out spread a little quarter size amount through your hair kinda like gel or mousse, and braid it in twos or fours, fours would be two on top and two starting near the ears going back. Sleep on it. And wake up with loose beachy kind of waves. Plus no heat damage!

I agree braid your hair when it's wet :) no damage and looks natural

Another heatless option are curlers, but they're a pain to sleep in so you may want to do it on a lazy day :) Heatless curls/waves will also last longer than ones done with a wand.

Try using foam rollers (large) in dry hair over night n wrap them loosely only up to your shoulders - in the morning brush them out - or you can try the sock method look up YouTube for heatless curls with socks

I have the same wand and I just use really big sections of hair. Use your fingers to comb through them and then lightly hairspray. Heartless stuff never works for me, lol :)

@Maggie I have one too! it's really amazing! I gave it to my mom for her birthday (I couldn't use it anyway lol) but I love doing her hair with it, you can even get 1920/1930s waves :)

My hair is so heavy it won't hold a curl unless I set it!
Sometimes when my hair is refusing to curl loosely I take my flat iron and take 1 - 2 inch sections and heat them up with my straightener then roll them up and pin it in place on top of my head to cool and set!
