I have really long fingers and just pretty big hands in general and am very self conscious of them to the point where i don't even like to show people my nails when i paint them. Are there any nail polish colors that tend to make fingers appear shorter?

I believe I once read somewhere that darker colors made nails look shorter...but I can't reference that off the top of my head. I am thinking shaping them a certain way may help too. Probably rounding them off may make them less obvious than say a squared off shape (that part I just made up but it's easy enough to just play around with).

Stay away from neuds oranges and any other ones close to your skin color they make your nails look longer. Dark colors do make them appear shorter, trim them often.
