I've seen a few threads on back-to-school clothing ideas for specific styles but wanted to see if anyone had pieces or items that they personally love for school/work regardless of a specific style! :)

Erica, I got some at Q, I don't know how popular they are. Try Forever 21 or H&M. They are more common online in my opinion!

By popular I meant the Q store. Where abouts are you located?

I live about 5 minutes from H&M so I will definitely check it out! I live out in Denver and we have a lot great clothing stores.

I'm in uniform, so I can't really wear what is like to wear, but I'm into combat boots, all black vans, and a black brandy Melville cardigan I have since I can wear all three of those to school and it's not a big deal. That's about all I can wear that I want though lol.

Also, I love these pants I have. I call them parachute pants,... I've been told they are actually called Harem pants, but in stores I asked the workers and they showed me the ones with a low crotch ): I finally found the one without a hanging crotch also at H&M :)

@Hannah C. I totally agree about the combat boots. I've been on a hunt for the perfect pair for a while. Lol.

I consider myself a eccentric diva with a love for the occasional vintage pieces... I love high heeled booties and dresses. I love cardigans and blazers with bold prints and colors! I'm also all up for casual wear even though I dress up on an almost daily basis. I mean I wear heels and false lashes with my lab coat at work... (lol dentists office:)))) Anyway casual wear for me is usually cute deep colored jeans with converse or combat boots and a unique top of something. But like I said, I am a diva at heart... lol. Just be true to you, don't feel obligated to stay in trend or dress like everyone else. Individuality is something that really catches the eyes of others and makes you more intriguing. Lots of love doll!!

For shopping since you live in Denver definitely go to the Colorado Mills Mall they have so many stores and during back to school time they always have a bunch of sales. A few of my other favorite malls are The Cherry Creek mall, the 16th Street mall and the outlets at Castle Rock and the Park Meadows Mall. My favorite stores to get high waisted jeans are Hollister Abercrombie and American Eagle.
My Back to School Must Haves:
Cardigans and Kimonos: You can still wear your summer clothes when it starts to cool down and make summer clothes a bit more school approperate
Leggings, a few great fitting pairs of jeans, tights for dresses and skirts
Shoes!! Tennis shoes that are cute but comfy (keds, vans, converse), a nice pair of flats, a great pair of boots for the fall and winter I love Uggs but I also like a nicer pair like a leather booties with a small- medium hieght heel. If you do get a pair of heeled booties look for ones with a small platform in the front so it is easier to wear them all day and your feet wouldn't hurt as bad. My favorite brand for boots and flats is Steve Madden
Comfy hoodies for lazy days. My favorite is ones form PINK because they are a bit oversized and have so many fun colors.
A denim shirt is my go to, to throw over anything if you get a lightweight and light colored one it will look great with everything including dark wash jeans.
Also plain tees from PINK are great to throw on then put a scarf over the top and you have an instant outfit
Scarves! you can never have to many.
Sweaters! I love love love sweaters so much I look everywhere for them like H&M Hollister , Abercrombie, Nordstom, Saks, and Macy's and Brandy Melville. I also love when they are a bit longer and cover my butt so i can wear them with leggings and look great with a pair of booties. ALso I love wearing croped sweaters with a high waisted skirt and a pair of tights and booties during the fall.

Booties. Love them so much!
Combat boots, because who doesn't love combat boots?
And some cute flats.
Highwaisted jeans, because if I'm wearing jeans, then those are the only kind I'll wear. I'm not a big fan of pants in general, but those are by far my favorites.
Skirts! I tend to wear skirts and dresses more than anything, so I always load up on a bunch of new ones. Same with dresses.
Basic layering pieces, like plain tank tops and shirts that can be worn with a jacket, with a cardigan, with a scarf and sweater, are another thing I look for.
Leggings for sure. They feel like pjs but can look really cute.
Some good outerwear, like different cardigans and a jacket, as well as knee socks, scarves, and sheer black tights.
Quirky accessories, like necklaces and rings.
And lastly, sweaters. It's practically like wearing a blanket to school. A very adorable blanket.
