As you can see my roots are really dark. I'm tired of having a bunch of highlights in my hair. I want my hair to be 1 colour!! So, if I buy a really good blonde hair dye (suggestions from personal experiences) will it work on my roots? I'll post a picture of the rest of my hair so you guys can see what I'm dealing with!

Yes a blonde hair dye will work for your roots but in order to mask the dark roots of your hair you'll have to find a blonde shade much lighter than the blonde on the rest of your hair. I personally am a fan of the dark roots and light tips, reminds me of Vanessa Hudgens or the Olsen twins.

Yes it does look really nice! But the thing is, my blonde is a few different shades due to highlighting, and for my hair to be 1 colour, I'd have to dye over my roots and my hair! Then, I'll let them grow out again because I love the look of dark roots, too.

You could but an average blonde dye probably wouldn't cut it and it'd come out quite orange. There are prelightening dyes you can use for it though, when I do my roots I use the shwartzkopft Nordic blonde range in the lightest one but you can choose which one to cater for how much lighter you'll need to go, I'll see if I can find a picture of the one I use.
