Oh and just keep practicing. It takes practice more than anything because once you've got it down you can do a perfect wing look with any decent liner  :)

Try them all, that's the only way you'll know which tool works best for you. I like Maybelline Liquid, makes my tips sooooo thin.

Try using tape to make the wing. You can also use concealer to clean up the wing, at least that helped me when I first started.
