Hi beauties, Has anyone tried OCM? Lately its been a fad. M so curious to know that does it really works and reduces acne?

I use the oil cleansing method almost everyday, but I do it to take my makeup off before using a SA cleanser. I massage coconut oil into my skin and let it sit for a few mins, then I work on my eye makeup, then I use a warm wet washcloth to wipe it all off. After I get all the oil off I continue my normal wash, tone, serum and moisturizer routine. I find that religiously sticking to my skin care routine keeps acne at bay, but I do not suffer from serious acne problems.

Thanks Ashley.. I was also thinking of giving it a try with Coconut oil. my skin is a sort of weird. Most of the times its free of acne and sometimes its filled with big zits.

Np :), I love the coconut oil, I've tried a few brands, but I always come back to coconut.

Just a warning that coconut oil is fine to use if your washing it off but if you have acne prone skin it's not the best option it's not a noncomedogenic oil ,I use it myself as a makeup remover but I always cleanse after, oil cleansing doesn't work for all skin types so rather than mixing your own concoction I would advise you invest in a actual cleansing oil , this way you no it's formulated correctly and tested on several different skin types before it hits the shelves.

Thanks Traci, I never felt good about not washing it off, but I didn't actually know for sure. I can never not wash my face after using oil, I just don't like the way any oil feels after rinsing. I love it to get all the junk loosened up before hand though!

That's exactly how I feel Ashley , but some people love just using the oil to cleanse , and it works for them , It gives me breakouts thou,

I use clinique take that off balm, which is an oil (in solid form) to remove my makeup. Sometimes I follow up with a cleanser, sometimes I wipe the excess off with a makeup wipe after I'm out of the bath.
