Brazilian Blowout vs straight perm?

I wanted to know, if any, differences on Brazilian blowout anx permanently straightening. I've permanently straightened my hair before at a salon and it worked well to tame my fizziness. Anyone have Brazilian Blowout and love it?? Lol.

I've heard nothing but horrible things about Brazilian blowouts. Hair loss, unbelievable knots, etc. I, myself have not had one though.

I've always wanted to get one, but then I saw a thread here on beautylish with so many negative things, so I became very iffy about it.

My step mum had one for her's done before her honey moon and loved it. Had no problems and said her hair had never felt so smooth

I've had both done and I discontinued doing any Brazilian treatments as the FDA is investigating because of the high amounts of formaldehyde in products, along with the fact that products claimed to be formaldehyde free and contained significant amounts of it. I did go from never getting migraines to getting a migraine everyday after getting it done so I personally don't think it's worth the result especially if you've had great experiences with other methods.
