I know you are only supposed to exfoliate only about once a week but if I go even a day without using my exfoliating sponge, it's like my whole face gets a layer of skin over it and it makes my makeup look cakey and gross! I even get dry flakes in the crease on my eye and on my eyebrows so they look bad. But I have super oiley skin. I really just do not understand. Any suggestions?

Be sure you have a good moisturizer and are constantly replenishing your skin. Water will also help with the dehydration. I personally prefer daily gentle exfoliation as opposed to weekly abrasive scrubs. As long as you're paying attention to what your skin needs you should be fine.
