What hair dyes to use to color hair silver/gray?

I though you should bleach your hair and then dye your hair silver with some blue mixed through it. I don't know if this really works though, but I once saw someone do that one youtube hehe.

I bleached my hair then used a Demi color in blue and one in magenta. Mixed it with a conditioner. It'll be a pastel grey/blue-purple and leave it in your hair for about 15 minutes
